Over at 5101 Ave F, there's a Blurred area I can't make heads or tails of- but unlike the Tree it's been Blurred as far back as Street View will let you go. It's also just harder to discern what's behind the blur even without that- You could easily tell the Tree was a Tree, but this?

Yeah, I saw that. If you stand in some places near it and look down there's a massive blur, but I'm pretty sure that's just 'cause of the Streetview Guy's silhouette. Not as strange as a randomly-blurry tree (that wasn't blurred until this year) for my money. Fun fact, though, even after no longer being called a Lunatic Asylum, the Hospital was illegally harvesting, selling, and auctioning Human Brains. The collection of 200 brains has been sitting in storage, about half of which has gone missing.

It's not surprising. If you check street view on google, however, it's pretty obvious a car ran into the fence and made it easy to get in.

Oh, also, the Cemetery's Gate is ALWAYS locked, apparently.

So, this cemetery is the Austin State Hospital Cemetery (A.S.H., which is funny.) However, the hospital in question used to be the "Texas State Lunatic Asylum," which is interesting enough on its own, but- Bodies used to be buried on the Hospital Grounds, but at some point needed to be moved due to a lack of room. That's why this Cemetery is so devoid of Gravestones and honestly just bumps up the eerie atmosphere. 700 of the deceased have not been identified, or noted in burial records. The founder of Dallas was actually committed to the Asylum and was one of the first people buried at the new site. However, it's speculated his Great Great Grandson had him exhumed and his body moved.

I've made too many bad decisions to hold onto most of my memories.

UPDATE x2 -House #208 on that street has some uhh... interestingly creepy décor, definitely on-brand for 7770801. Limbless mannequin on a pole and a very round "cutesy" animal skull decoration.

UPDATE: I haven't anything necessarily meaningful- but there IS a little wire-mesh snail that's pretty cute a lil' down the road. He made me smile.
